Itinerary of your New Orleans Tour
You will meet your guide and the rest of your group for your New Orleans tour at 2pm in Jackson Square. You’ll get a short introduction to the French Quarter, then take a walk along the river and take the ferry across the Mississippi River for a walking tour of historic Algiers.
The second oldest neighborhood of New Orleans, it was once a plantation and the location of the first local industries. As the area entered the 20th century, Algiers became full of honky-tonks where jazz musicians, including Louis Armstrong, used to play. The neighborhood feels set apart yet is part of the history of New Orleans. You will dive into its history and experience the village feel that its inhabitants love.
End your tour at a local spot recommended by your guide and if you like, enjoy a simple dinner at a food truck, and a drink at a local dive bar (dinner and drinks not included).
