Today, you and your group will learn the rich history of the Lower East Side and discover often-forgotten places, unexplored spaces, and the many stories of migration in this neighborhood over the centuries.
Be sure to bring your appetite, because you will start the day with a bagel from a legendary shop, and enjoy a delicious sandwich from a local delicatessen at the end of the morning (included)!
In the afternoon, continue with a guided tour of Greenwich Village, home to influential women throughout history. You’ll discover how these radical women helped shape the Village into the culturally rich and progressive neighborhood it is today.
Next you head to Union Square with a stop at the famous Strand bookstore, deemed the “undisputed king of the city’s independent bookstores” by the New York Times. You’ll finish your tour at Grand Central Station, where your guide will highlight the details of this Beaux-Arts wonder.

In the afternoon, you will visit two iconic arts venues on guided tours. Start with a guided highlights tour of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), the first museum to devote its programs and collection entirely to the modern movement. After your guided visit, explore the galleries to experience the unique collection of modern art.
Next, enjoy a guided tour of Radio City Music Hall. Known as “The Showplace of the Nation,” the legendary venue has played host to many of the biggest names in music, including Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin and Paul Simon.
