  • Get active with daily activities: stand-up paddle boarding in Los Angeles, hike in Yosemite and Lassen National Parks, kayak on Clear Lake, a rafting trip on the Truckee River and a treetop trek at an adventure park near Lake Tahoe.

  • Explore Two National Parks; the famous Yosemite with its pine forests, waterfalls, and rivers, all with the silhouette of great white monoliths in the background, and the less-travelled Lassen Volcanic National Park with its steaming Sulphur vents, splattering mud pots, and boiling springs all showing the activity under the earth.

Itinerary of your California Vacation

Day 1: Los Angeles
Arrival in Los Angeles. Take the complimentary shuttle to your hotel located near the airport. You’ll meet your guide and your traveling companions this evening during our Meet and Greet (if your arrival permits). You’ll also receive a travel kit including a reusable water bottle and an insulated bag. They’ll both come in handy during your planned picnics.

Day 2: Los Angeles

Start your day with a guided tour of Los Angeles. Discover Olvera Street, known as the ''birthplace of Los Angeles;” Hollywood; and the Los Angeles Original Farmer’s Market, a foodie paradise. 

Then head to Marina Del Rey for a stand up paddle board (SUP) lesson. You will be taught the basic strokes and the steps to go from you knees to your feet. Then you’ll have some free time to practice your new skills in a sheltered lagoon. 

At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset in Santa Monica, which is a blend of California beach town, Riviera-style romance and Hollywood glamour.

Day 3: Los Angeles – Yosemite NP – Mariposa

Today you are driving to Yosemite. When you arrive, marvel at the giant redwoods, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley, and its famous waterfalls. To really take in the grandeur of the park, you can hike on one of the many trails; there will be options available for all levels.

Day 4: Mariposa – Clear Lake

Today you will explore Clear Lake, the largest freshwater lake entirely inside California, on a 2-hour kayaking trip. Kayaking is the ideal way to observe the wildlife due to its minimal impact on the environment and disturbance of the water.

Day 5: Clear Lake – Lassen Volcanic NP

Today you will discover Lassen Volcanic National Park. The park’s signature volcano, Lassen Peak, blew its top in May 1914. Its outbursts continued for three years. Now it’s dormant, and trails and overlooks give you access to see and learn about volcanic activity amid a tranquil landscape of dense woods and sparkling lakes.

Day 6: Lassen area – Truckee River

Enjoy a short visit to Truckee, an old West-style city that has morphed into an artistic hub with historical sites and appealing boutiques, galleries, and cafes, Then enjoy a half-day rafting trip on the Truckee River. During the cruise downstream, marvel at the volcanic canyons, craggy eroded cliffs formed by ancient lava flows from Mt. Pluto.

Day 7: Truckee – Lake Tahoe – San Francisco

Enjoy two hours of adventure on aerial trekking courses through the forest. Once you come down you’ll drive closer to the lake. Weather and time permitting, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the lake before the drive to San Francisco.

Day 8: San Francisco // Departure

Take a guided tour of San Francisco in the morning; admire the views from the top of the hills, the Golden Gate Bridge, some of the beautiful Victorian houses and the downtown area with Chinatown, Union Square and the Civic Center. 

After the tour, you’ll be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule. To enjoy the morning’s San Francisco tour, please don't plan a flight before 3 pm.

 

* Accommodations may vary based on departure date. The final hotel list will be sent to you 15 days before your departure.

* This tour has several hikes and a bike ride that require a moderate level of fitness. Expect to spend up to three hours and forty-five minutes on a comfortable tour bus or van traveling from city to city.

* Airport transfers: please give us your flight number and arrival time no later than 31 days before your travel date.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the terms outlined below:

  • Full refund if cancellation is received 32 days or more from the departure date, minus the deposit ($200 per room)

  • 50% of the tour per person cancelled will be due for cancellation received between 31 and 8 days of the departure date

  • No refund will be provided for cancellation received between 8 days of departure and the departure date

The tour requires a minimum number of people. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
